Frequently Asked Questions
UCB Card Vault is a mobile app that allows you to control how, when and where your UCB debit and/or credit cards are used. It is a simple and secure way to manage and monitor your purchase transaction activity. Card Vault helps keep your payment cards safe and provides instant notifications when your card is used and so much more.
UCB Card Vault requires that you have at least one debit and/or credit card account issued by United Community Bank or any of our UCB Banks. You will also need an Apple or Android smartphone.
Next, visit your device's app store and download the UCB Card Vault app. Once downloaded, you will be instructed to enter your full card account number(s) along with other authentication information. Then, once your cards are registered, you can begin using the app immediately.
Please note: you will enroll each card individually. It is important that your information entered for each card matches your card account's registered information, such as address and SSN/TIN.
It is simple. If you have an iPhone just download the UCB Card Vault app from the Apple Store. If you have an Android phone you download the app from the Google Play Store. Once the app has successfully downloaded to your smartphone you can begin to register your cards.
No. The UCB Card Vault app is FREE to download and all features are included with no fees to help provide you with more control over your card.

You can begin using the app and service immediately to provide you with real-time purchase data and alerts, security controls, spending insights, and more.
UCB Card Vault makes it easy to monitor and control your spending. It allows you to clearly see your purchases right from your phone. You can quickly and easily identify purchases with data such as merchant names, logos, business hours, location, and contact info.
You will also have quick spend insights at your fingertips to help you spend smarter. Insights are sorted by location, spend category, and month.
In addition, you can set security controls and alerts by purchase method (in-store, online, mobile, ATM, etc.), geographic location, merchant type, and amount.
Most importantly, if your card is lost or stolen or you suspect fraud, you can turn your card off (and back on) as needed to protect your account from unauthorized charges.
It is an immediate notification sent to the App which will notify you on your phone. You can select to be alerted on all your payment transactions including recurring payments or you can select just preferred transactions. Preferred alerts are available by spend limits, location, transaction type, and merchant category.
No. Using the card off/on controls does not change the status of your account.
To turn your card off, select the little green "power" button to the right of each card listing from your app's home menu or from the top right corner of the card image in the Card Detail menu.
When this button is red, this means that your card is "off" and that all transactions (except for reoccurring) will be declined. When you need to make a purchase simply turn the card back on. It is that easy! Now you have the ultimate control to combat fraud.
It happens immediately after you set and save the option.
Yes. Merchant recurring transactions will be approved. Additionally, you can select to receive alerts on recurring transactions and even monitor monthly subscriptions under My Merchants in from the Card Detail menu.
While My Location and My Regions work both independently and together, neither can be used in conjunction with International.
In the app go to Transactions, find the one that was denied and open it, tap the image so it rotates, and the control(s) that were evoked during the authorization will be listed near the bottom. The transaction could also be declined because of external factors like non-sufficient funds or fraud monitoring.
Alert preferences let you know every time a card transaction is attempted. You can be alerted for all or preferred transactions. Preferred alerts are also available by location, transaction type, merchant type, and threshold amount.
Only the primary device will receive alerts. Use the settings menu in the app to set your device as primary.
Just download the UCB Card Vault app to your new smartphone and login with your current user ID and password.
You will have to add the new account to the app. This can be done by going to Manage Account and adding the card.

The last 50 transactions will display in the app for thirty calendar days.
Some merchants send pre-authorizations at higher amounts to test cards' validity. For example, a $25 gas purchase might display as $126. Pre-authorizations are common at the pump, for a hotel stay, or for a car rental. Even though the charge is listed in the app for more, it will clear your account for the correct amount.
To select the card(s) you wish to manage, go to Settings and choose Manage Cards. Then uncheck the card or cards you don't want to manage. Once a card is unmanaged, controls and alerts cannot be set for that card.
Press the icon that has three stacked lines to reach the menu. This icon is usually found in the top right corner.
The app requires your login and password to access the app and your card data. Also, there is no personal information stored on the smartphone.
Yes, depending on your device, both Face and Touch ID are available. In the app, visit Security Settings under the Settings menu to control these login authentication options on your device.
